What We Do

"When Jay Nuhring re-thinks your rooms, it's not a do-over. He's not starting from scratch. He's looking at what you have, and finding a way to make it work better. He's putting your pieces together in a totally new way. A way that calms. Or invites. Or defines. Or surprises. After all, you have a story, and what you have in your home tells bits and pieces of that story. So let's put the story together in a way that reflects you best. What you're about. Where you've been. The things you love".

Sophisticated Stylish Victorian Update

Living Room - Before.  Queen Anne/Victorian Farmhouse - St. Paul, Minnesota.  Photography by +Danielle Gernes. GernesPhotography.com.

Living Room - After.  Rearranged furniture.  Added larger, more substantial cocktail table.  Removed  curtain panels, styled table top surfaces and minimized artwork on the walls.  Replaced mirror above fireplace with a modern print.  Clean. Balanced. Composed.  The only new piece of furniture added to this room was the cocktail table.  Photography by +Danielle Gernes.  GernesPhotography.com.

  1. I love how your spread out the furniture and brought in the softness of the rocking chair, eliminating the bulkiness of two heavy armchairs flanking the fireplace. Love love love the symmetry of the round coffee table bringing the room together and giving it a softness.
